On Friday, November 4, Discovery Green will be showing The Good Dinosaur. This free event is sponsored by H-E-B and the film will begin at 7:30 p.m. There will also be contest and activities for children beginning at 6:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnics and pets!
Head to Discovery Green this Saturday, September 17 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to learn a new language! Teachers from Silvia’s Languages will be instructing students in basic Spanish. Discovery Green is offering free yoga on Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m. The hour-long sessions are led by instructors of Nia Moves, a fitness and wellness center located in the Heights. Treasure-hunt at this monthly, one-of-a-kind market nestled in the shady southeast end of the downtown park. The destination market features an array of artful kitsch, vintage items, mid-century modern furniture, recycled and repurposed items and collectibles.
There is one last chance to join the great musicians for the 2013 “Blues and Burgers” that has been going on all throughout March and April. Concerts have been happening at 11:30 am every Wednesday, and the final one is featuring Little Joe Washington on April 24th at Discovery Green.
